Knowledge Bowl Training & Consultancy and Sandven Image House present you with the following programs targetted at amateur photographers who want to learn to take better pictures and meet more friends, regardless of what brand of cameras you are using.
Our range of digital photography classes are conducted by instructors who are either Fellow or Associate of The Royal Photographic Society as well as practicing photographers. Most of them have at least 8 years of teaching experience and more than 2000 students todate.
Our experienced instructor for the Adobe software courses is also an Adobe certified instructor. He shall guide you in mastering the Adobe Photoshop and Elements software. The courses are specially structured to equip amateur photographers to complete the digital workflow with the use of the software to enhance or manipulate the pictures.

Mr Steven Yee, an award winning photographer specialising in travel photography, is the youngest in the world to be conferred the Fellowship of The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain (FRPS) and the Photographic Society of Singapore (FPSS) in 2003 at the age of 23. He has more than 7 years of photography coaching experience and more than 2000 students. He shall share with the participants the different ways to harness the potential of the D90/D3000/D5000.

Photo Critique & Digital Touch Up Session
(Fee S$50 per person)
19th September 2010, Sunday, 2.30pm to 5.00pm
Instructors: Steven Yee
This workshop enables participants to learn how to improve on pictures taken by them with comments and
critique by an instructor who is an international photography judge. Each participants shall bring along 5
to 10 images photographed by them. The images are projected on the screen in random order and
participants do not know who the images belong to.
This is followed by a guided session by the instructor who will let the participants have a hands on digital
enhancement on 2 to 4 images provided by the instructor. The instructor will guide the participants step by
step on how to digitally enhance the images. Participants shall bring their laptop equipped with the
Photoshop and ACDSee software. The Trial version of the software shall be installed if these software are
not installed in the participants laptop.
This is one of the best way to improve photography. Suitable for beginners, especially for those not well
versed in digital enhancement software.

The basic level teaches you the fundamentals of basic photography such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure, when to use certain exposure settings, introduction to the techniques as well as basic image editing with the software. There will be practical session to enable the participants to practice what they have learnt.
This course is suitable for first time DSLR users who wants to learn to take better pictures with their DSLRs as well as current DSLR users who would like to have a refresher course. Many people have found the workflow created by the instructor interesting.

After the DSLR Photography Course (Basic Level), this is the course to go for. This is also a course for those who want to refine their skills in photography. This is a very interesting intensive workshop with mainly hands-on practical sessions. You shall follow the instructor on the outing trips and appreciate the art of seeing. This workshop shall also meet the objective of making you a more confident photographer, able to handle day and night scenes. The various special techniques such as Panning, Long Exposure, Gradual Zoom etc will be covered and you shall practise them with guidance.

studio. With the knowledge of studio lighting, one is able to create many stunning images,
reproduction work, take good pictures of food products. There are many secrets to share,

Outdoor Portrait Photography Workshop
(S$220 (Inclusive of model fee), 7 hours, 1 session)

Portrait photography is one of the oldest specialization of photography. There are many secrets to
share, especially in posing and use of available light. During the 7 hours session (4 hours with the
model), the participants will be briefed on the posing of the model, appreciation of shadow and
highlight. The workshop fees include modelling fees. After the photography shoot, the
instructor will do a photo critique and participants shall under the guidance of the instructor, have
hands-on on digital touchup on the photographs taken during the practical sessions.

Artistic Nude Photography Workshop
(S$250)
Commencing: 29th June 2008, Sunday, 2pm to4.30pm

Artistic nude photography is one of the oldest specialization in photography. It is the appreciation of the body forms, aided with shadow and highlight. The participants will be briefed on the do’s and don’ts, posing of the model, appreciation of shadow and highlight. The workshop fees include modelling fees. Participants shall bring their laptop. After the indoor photography shoot, the instructor will do a photo critique and guide the participants in the Photoshop touch-up process.
This 1 day workshop is conducted by the instructor who is a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society UK. Certificate will be issued upon completion of the course. Participants must be at least the age of 21.
